LIK Poised to Shatter Kollywood Box Office Records!

Kollywood's 2026 box office is anticipating a major success with the release of LIK. This romantic comedy, directed by and starring Pradeep Ranganathan, is on track to become the biggest Tamil film opener of the year. Its primary challenge is to exceed the 12.35 crore collection achieved by Parasakthi on its opening day.

While LIK is expected to easily surpass the opening day figures of Youth and Thaai Kizhavi, beating Parasakthi's record presents a significant hurdle. However, Pradeep Ranganathan's substantial Gen Z fanbase could propel the film to a remarkable double-digit opening. Early indications from BookMyShow (BMS) pre-sales show robust demand, with a total of 29.34K tickets sold, reinforcing optimism for a strong debut.
