Hemsworth told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that he proposed a few months ago while he was still in the midst of shooting season 4 of Netflix's The Witcher, in which he is replacing Henry Cavill as the lead character Geralt of Rivia. The actor said he didn't have a "huge plan" behind the engagement, but he had bought the ring and was waiting for the right moment.
After Hemsworth wrapped up filming The Witcher about three weeks ago, the couple celebrated their engagement with a trip to the Maldives. Hemsworth also gave a rare insight into his relationship with Brooks, saying he's "incredibly excited" and that it's a "happy time" in his life.
