Neon has unveiled the trailer for "Leviticus," a conversion therapy horror film that garnered attention at Sundance. This movie is the first feature directed by writer-director Adrian Chiarella.
The supernatural horror film centers on two teenage boys who must escape a violent entity. This entity takes the form of the person they desire most—each other.
"Leviticus" features Joe Bird as Naim and Stacy Clausen as Ryan. Mia Wasikowska also stars as Naim's mother, alongside Jeremy Blewitt, Ewen Leslie, and Davida McKenzie.
The film premiered in the midnight section at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and was acquired by Neon for a reported seven-figure sum. Critics have praised it as a gripping queer horror with thematic relevance.
Set in a desolate Australian town within a close-knit Christian community, "Leviticus" blends horror with social commentary. Its title is inspired by a biblical book concerning interpretations of homosexuality.
"Leviticus" is scheduled to premiere in theaters on June 19, 2026.
