LeVar Burton Finds New Game Show Home

LeVar Burton, a beloved actor and advocate for education, is now the host of the game show Trivial Pursuit on The CW. This new opportunity arose after considerable fan support for him to host Jeopardy, a role that ultimately went to Ken Jennings. Burton's involvement with Trivial Pursuit allows him to craft his own hosting legacy, distinct from the immense shoes he would have filled as a permanent Jeopardy host.

The new iteration of Trivial Pursuit premiered in October 2024 and has since been renewed for a second season. This season is currently airing on The CW, with new episodes broadcast every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Burton's hosting of Jeopardy from July 26 to July 30, 2021, remains a notable part of his television history, but his current role on Trivial Pursuit signifies a fresh and exciting venture.
