Lena Dunham's Husband: From Peru to Hollywood Romance

Lena Dunham's new memoir, Famesick, details various aspects of her life, including her relationship with husband Luis Felber. Felber, who performs under the stage name Attawalpa, is a musician born in England to a British father and Peruvian mother. He spent part of his childhood in Peru and Chile.

Dunham and Felber met in February 2021, shortly after Dunham relocated to England. Their connection was immediate, leading to an engagement four months later and their marriage in September 2021 in London, with approximately 60 guests in attendance.

Their romance served as a significant inspiration for Dunham's upcoming 2025 Netflix series, Too Much. The show's premise, featuring a woman moving to England and falling for a musician, reflects the couple's real-life experiences, with Dunham describing it as having an "exoskeleton" based on their story.

As a musician, Felber embarked on a solo career in 2020 after touring with various bands. He has released EPs and a full-length album as Attawalpa, describing his sound as being "between Prince and Nirvana." He also contributed to the soundtracks of Dunham's directorial works, including the films Sharp Stick and Catherine Called Birdy, and her new series.
