10 May
Summary
- Undercover team targets Carter and Hakan's 200kg heroin smuggling operation.
- Informant Eddie narrowly escapes after being exposed by Carter.
- Guy suffers lasting psychological trauma from the dangerous undercover mission.
The undercover unit's perilous mission against drug gangs led by Carter and Hakan culminates in their arrests. The gangs were planning to smuggle 200 kg of heroin into the UK. Despite rerouting their operation through Germany after a sea storm disrupted their initial plan, the team successfully intercepted the shipment during the final raid.
During the operation, informant Eddie's betrayal was exposed when Carter ordered his death, but Eddie managed to escape. The mission also took a significant psychological toll on operative Guy, who struggled with his double life and continues to experience lasting trauma even after returning home.
Although the undercover unit successfully dismantled the criminal operations and secured the drug bust, it was shut down without public recognition. Guy's final scene highlights his enduring mental scars, showing him on edge due to a car outside his home, indicating his inability to fully escape the mission's psychological impact.
