Defending Sanu's long and illustrious music career, the lawyer stated that the singer has "poured his soul into music, giving joy to millions and earning love and respect across the world" for over 40 years. The lawyer emphasized that they will firmly counter any attempts to defame the legendary artist, ensuring that "malicious attempts to defame him are met with the full force of the law to protect his dignity, legacy and family honour."
In her recent interviews, Rita Bhattacharya claimed that she was the one who supported Sanu during the early days of his career. She also blamed the singer's sister for creating problems in their marriage. However, Rita has not yet publicly responded to the legal notice sent by Sanu's team.
Kumar Sanu and Rita Bhattacharya were married in the 1980s, but their marriage ended in divorce in 1994. The former couple share three children together.
