The Tokyo International Film Festival has announced that legendary Japanese actress Yoshinaga Sayuri will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival's 38th edition, running from October 27th to November 5th, 2025. The accolade comes as Sayuri stars in this year's TIFF opening film, "Climbing for Life," in which she portrays the first woman to conquer Mount Everest.
