Legendary Director Takashi Yamazaki Unveils "Godzilla Minus Zero" at Godzilla Fest 2025

On November 3rd, 2025, at the annual Godzilla Fest held in Tokyo's Kanadevia Hall, the highly anticipated title for the next Godzilla film was unveiled. Legendary director Takashi Yamazaki, who helmed the previous hit "Godzilla Minus One," is set to return and lead the creative team for the new installment, titled "Godzilla Minus Zero."

Yamazaki, known for his exceptional storytelling and visual effects expertise, will once again write, direct, and oversee the visual effects for the upcoming film. "Godzilla Minus One," released earlier this year, was a global phenomenon, grossing over $113 million worldwide and becoming the first Godzilla film to win an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

The official logo for "Godzilla Minus Zero" was also revealed at the event, designed by Yamazaki himself. While the exact details of the film's plot remain under wraps, the title suggests it may be a prequel or a reimagining of the original Godzilla story. Fans of the iconic monster can look forward to the next chapter in the franchise, as Yamazaki's return promises to deliver another visually stunning and captivating Godzilla adventure.
