In a surprising move, legendary Indian actor Mohanlal is set to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming Bollywood film Haiwaan. The film, directed by Priyadarshan, reunites actors Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan on the big screen.
Priyadarshan, who officially announced the project back in July 2025, recently shared a stunning behind-the-scenes shot from the sets featuring Mohanlal and Saif Ali Khan. Mohanlal, who has now wrapped up shooting for his cameo, expressed his excitement about working with Saif, the son of one of his "biggest cricket heroes."
Haiwaan marks the latest collaboration between Priyadarshan and Mohanlal, whose partnership dates back to 1978 when Mohanlal played the protagonist in Priyadarshan's directorial debut, Thiranottam. The two have since worked together on numerous acclaimed films over the years.
Haiwaan is the Hindi remake of the popular Malayalam thriller Oppam. The film is currently being shot across various locations, including Kochi, Vagamon, Ooty, and Mumbai. The release date for Haiwaan is yet to be announced by the makers.
