In a surprising revelation, the late Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 95, had a secret life as a dedicated artist. Bonhams is now auctioning over 400 items from Hackman's estate, shedding light on this little-known aspect of the legendary actor's life.
Among the most intriguing discoveries is a 33-page draft script for The Silence of the Lambs, which Hackman had acquired the rights to and intended to direct, as well as play the role of Hannibal Lecter. However, he ultimately abandoned the project, reportedly due to concerns that it was "too dark" from his own daughter.
