Law & Order Star Meloni Crowned as One of 2025's Sexiest Men Alive

In 2025, Christopher Meloni, the 64-year-old actor known for his role in the hit TV series Law & Order: Organized Crime, has been named one of PEOPLE's Sexiest Men Alive. Meloni is not only enjoying success on the small screen, but he's also spilling the beans on what he finds attractive in a partner.

According to Meloni, a sense of humor, grounded-ness, and not taking oneself too seriously are all qualities that he finds appealing. "If I'm attracted to someone, there is a sexiness involved," he tells PEOPLE.

While Meloni's fifth season of Organized Crime is set to air on NBC this fall, he's also working on a new show from This Is Us creator Dan Folgelman, where he'll play an NFL coach alongside Mandy Moore and William H. Macy.

However, one actress in particular holds a special place in Meloni's heart – Kate Winslet. Meloni recalls a time when he attended a celebration of an acting teacher's life, where he couldn't stop looking at Winslet. "I went home and I told my wife because I couldn't stop looking at her -- and I'm not usually that guy. I was making excuses to look at Kate Winslet; she was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," he says.

Despite his wife's disapproval, Meloni remains enamored with Winslet, describing her as "earthy and she's ballsy. She's cool."

As for his own marriage, Meloni and his wife, Sherman Williams, have been together for 30 years and have two children, Sophia and Dante. Meloni says they have the whole thing down pat, with a "zone" of three weeks where they allow each other freedom, while still expressing their love regularly.
