Latin Stars Unite for Chocó Quake Relief

A new relief initiative, Marea Viva for the Chocó of Tomorrow, has been launched to support communities in Chocó affected by an earthquake on August 10. This effort unites prominent figures from Colombia and beyond, including Juanes, Nicky Jam, and Goyo, to fund safe, earthquake-resistant housing and rebuilding. The campaign, led by various foundations and partners, has already secured significant pledges and aims to raise substantial additional funds for long-term recovery.

In parallel, Amazon Music is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the passing of the iconic Juan Gabriel. This tribute includes curated playlists, a special vinyl release, and a new rendition of his hit song "Así Fue." His enduring legacy continues to reach new audiences globally, with millions of streams on Amazon Music over the past year.

The 39th annual Hispanic Heritage Awards, scheduled for September 10 in Minneapolis, will recognize influential figures in the Hispanic community. Among the honorees are Eladio Carrión, receiving the Inspira Award; Mon Laferte, honored with the Social Justice Award; and salsa legend Oscar D'León, who will accept the Legend Award.

Mon Laferte is also celebrating a sold-out show at Radio City Music Hall as part of her North American tour supporting her latest album, Femme Fatale, Vol. 2. She recently released a live video for her song "Femme Fatale," filmed during a performance in Mexico City. Her commitment to using art for social advocacy earned her the upcoming Social Justice Award at the Hispanic Heritage Awards.
