First Ray Films has released the teaser poster for Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business, an action thriller set to premiere worldwide on Diwali 2026. The film centers on the endangered Celebes crested macaque, also known as the 'Yaki Monkey,' native to Indonesia.
Directed by Anshuman Jha, the sequel follows Arjun Bakshi, a Kolkata-based vigilante, as he journeys to the forests of West Java, Indonesia, to combat wildlife trafficking. This installment expands the narrative beyond India, addressing global ecological concerns with a mix of martial arts and a strong environmental message.
Lakadbaggha 2 features an international cast, including Sarah Jane Dias, Adil Hussain, Vikram Kochhar, and martial arts star Sunny Pang. Anshuman Jha stated the film is a personal tribute to Lord Hanuman and a dedication to the animals sharing the planet, emphasizing respect and responsibility towards nature. The film is scheduled for a high-profile film festival run from June to November 2026, preceding its theatrical debut.
