Summary

On September 30th, 2025, it was announced that country music singer Lainey Wilson will be returning as the host for the 59th annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards. This will be Wilson's second time hosting the show, but her first time doing so solo. Last year, she co-hosted the event alongside fellow musician Luke Bryan and former NFL star Peyton Manning.
"I grew up watching the CMA Awards like it was the Super Bowl, so to be hosting for a second year is a true honor," Wilson said in a statement. "I'm humbled that CMA has trusted me with this role, and I can't wait to love on this genre that has given me so much."
In addition to her hosting duties, Wilson is also nominated for six CMA awards this year, tying her with Ella Langley and Megan Moroney for the most nominations. Her nominations include Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Single and Song of the Year for "4x4xU", Album of the Year for "Whirlwind", and Music Video for the Year for "Somewhere Over Laredo". Wilson won two of those awards at the 2024 CMA Awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year for "Wildflowers and Wild Horses".
The 2025 CMA Awards are set to air live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 19th, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, and will be available to stream the following day on Hulu. Wilson released her most recent album, "Whirlwind", last August and has since kicked off a world tour in support of the LP, with the latest North American leg launching just last month. The tour is set to continue through October and early November, with Wilson receiving support from artists like Ernest, Drake Milligan, Muscadine Bloodline, Maddox Batson, and Lauren Watkins. She'll headline Bridgestone Arena in Nashville this Thursday.
