"Lagaan" commenced its run with Rs. 43,724 nett on Friday, showing a 19.93% occupancy. Positive word-of-mouth and nostalgic sentiment fueled substantial growth over the weekend. Saturday saw collections rise to Rs. 1,33,110 nett with 51.45% occupancy, followed by Sunday, which proved to be the strongest day with Rs. 2,20,980 nett and an excellent 70.42% occupancy.
As anticipated, Monday's figures saw a dip, with the film earning Rs. 50,107 nett and a 20.09% occupancy. This brought the cumulative total for the first four days to Rs. 4.47 lakh nett.
