Bharathiraja's Dream Project 'Kuttra Parambarai' Revived as Web Series

Filmmaker Bharathiraja's ambitious vision to adapt the acclaimed novel 'Kuttra Parambarai' is finally being realized as a grand web series. The project, previously stalled for years due to copyright disputes, is now set to be produced with a substantial budget of Rs 50 crore. Director Sasikumar is helming the adaptation, which features a screenplay and dialogues crafted by Rathna Kumar.

This revival is particularly poignant as it honors Bharathiraja's passionate pursuit of the project before his passing in June. The adaptation is expected to offer ample scope to explore the novel's rich characters and intricate narrative. The involvement of veteran actor Sathyaraj in a pivotal role has further heightened anticipation among fans for this significant literary adaptation in Tamil entertainment.
