Kurt Russell's Ranch Hosted Princess Diana and Sons

Hollywood star Kurt Russell recently recounted a memorable week-long stay Princess Diana and her two sons, Princes William and Harry, enjoyed at his ranch. The actor first met the Princess of Wales in 1991 at the premiere of his film 'Backdraft.' Russell, who sat between Diana and then-Prince Charles during the screening, bonded with her over their shared struggles with intrusive paparazzi.

Russell extended an invitation to Diana, offering her a private escape at his ranch, which was difficult for photographers to access. Diana accepted the invitation, bringing her sons for a week-long visit. Although Russell and his family were not present during their stay, Princess Diana sent appreciative cards afterward. He mentioned that their housekeeper, Bonnie, became close with Diana, receiving Christmas cards from her annually.

Years later, Prince Harry fondly remembers the ranch visit as one of the family's fun times. Russell humorously noted that Prince William, the future king, slept in his son's room. The actor, who also owns a ranch in Colorado where he and wife Goldie Hawn spend significant time, emphasized the value of rural living for self-reflection and a connection to oneself, a sentiment he attributes to choices made later in his life.
