Davis proposed that such a film could draw inspiration from comedies centered on friendships later in life. She specifically mentioned a desire to see the main group, including Carrie, Samantha, and Miranda, embark on a trip to Italy, reminiscent of films starring Mary Steenburgen, Candice Bergen, and Jane Fonda.
