Kristin Davis, known for her iconic role as Charlotte York in the "Sex and the City" universe, has expressed a strong desire for continuation beyond the recently concluded "And Just Like That..." series. Despite the official announcement that the season 3 finale marked the definitive end of the franchise, Davis revealed on a podcast that she "wanted one more season."
Speaking with her "And Just Like That..." co-star Mario Cantone, Davis confessed to being in denial about the show's conclusion. She has not watched the series finale, stating, "I would like to remain that way." Davis remains optimistic about future projects, adding, "In my mind, we're going to do something else."
Writer and director Michael Patrick King had previously stated in August 2025 that the season 3 finale would serve as a natural stopping point for the "Sex and the City" storytelling. He noted that the decision was made to avoid overshadowing the season's enjoyment with the word "final."
While King's statement indicated a conclusive end, Davis's sentiments suggest a lingering hope for more from the beloved characters. She acknowledged that the future of any new projects remains uncertain, pending ownership decisions. Davis believes that while a full season might be unlikely, "we will do something else" is still a possibility.
