In a major milestone for the hit Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," the movie's soundtrack has gone platinum as of early October 2025. The film, which follows a K-pop supergroup balancing their pop stardom with secret demon-slaying duties, has become a global phenomenon.
The stars of the film, the singing trio Huntr/x, made their late-night TV debut on "The Tonight Show" earlier this month. During their sit-down interview, host Jimmy Fallon broke the news that the "KPop Demon Hunters" soundtrack had reached platinum status, with the lead single "Golden" spending an impressive 5 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Huntr/x, comprising EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, who voice the roles of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey in the film, also performed "Golden" live on the show. The track has become a global smash, with four songs from the soundtrack charting in the Hot 100's top 10.
