Versatile Actress Konkona Sensharma Navigates the Duality of Directing and Acting

Konkona Sensharma, a talented actress who has also directed a few projects, explains that she primarily sees herself as an actor. In an interview last month, Sensharma shared that she has been an actor for the majority of her career and that is her "default setting on a set."

While Sensharma has directed a couple of films, including "A Death In The Gunj" and a segment from the anthology "Lust Stories 2," she says she rarely thinks about directing when she is acting. "Unless I've written or co-written something, or I'm planning to direct it myself, it doesn't even occur to me to think about how I'd do things differently on set," she stated.
