23 Jun
Summary
- Club XYZ, a Knoxville LGBTQ+ venue, will close Saturday.
- The bar served the community for 20 years.
- Its closure leaves Knoxville with only one other LGBTQ+ bar.

Club XYZ, a prominent gay bar in Knoxville and one of the city's two LGBTQ+ establishments, will close its doors permanently on Saturday, June 24th, 2026. This marks the final weekend of Pride Month and the end of the bar's 20-year presence in the Happy Holler neighborhood. The owner, Richard Cameron, also known as Raz Yammers, highlighted the crucial role gay bars play in providing safe and welcoming environments.
The closure of Club XYZ follows a history of other LGBTQ+ venues in Knoxville shutting down, including Europa, The Huddle, and The Carousel. When The Edge closed in 2021, Club XYZ and CORE Knoxville became the city's sole designated LGBTQ+ bars. Club XYZ is located at 1215 N. Central St. and will be open from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. until its final night.
