Summary
- James Dolan allegedly used fake championship rings to test employees.

James Dolan, a widely criticized sports owner, has faced new allegations regarding his treatment of Madison Square Garden employees. The story, which emerged recently, details a purported scam involving championship rings.
An email was sent to MSG employees in September, offering them a complimentary championship ring with customization options. This initiative was allegedly orchestrated by Dolan as a test to identify employees vulnerable to phishing attempts, driven by his growing concerns about cybersecurity.
Contrary to the email's promise, there was no intention to distribute rings. Employees who interacted with the link were instead subjected to mandatory cybersecurity training. The New York Knicks organization has reportedly refused to comment on the matter when approached by The Athletic.
