Legendary Singer KJ Yesudas Shines in Dallas

Legendary Indian singer KJ Yesudas recently graced a special gathering in Dallas, Texas, marking a rare public appearance. The event was part of the golden jubilee celebrations for the Kerala Association of Dallas, where Yesudas inaugurated the 50th-anniversary festivities. His presence was a significant highlight, offering fans an opportunity to see and hear the celebrated vocalist after an extended period away from the spotlight.

Yesudas commenced his musical performance with a tribute to Sree Narayana Guru, followed by a rendition of the popular Malayalam song 'Keralaam Keralaam Kelikottuyarunna Keralam'. The audience responded with great enthusiasm. During his interaction, he imparted wisdom on spirituality, humility, and the vital need for religious harmony, emphasizing the importance of passing these values to future generations.

Known as the 'Celestial Singer' (Gaanagandharvan), Yesudas has an illustrious career spanning from 1961, with over 50,000 songs recorded in numerous languages. He has received eight National Film Awards and was honored with the Padma Vibhushan in 2017.
