Kirsten Dunst has officially joined the cast of "The Housemaid's Secret," the sequel to Lionsgate's successful film released in late 2025. This new installment will see Dunst star alongside Sydney Sweeney, adding significant star power to the project.
The film is based on Freida McFadden's second book in "The Housemaid" series. It centers on Millie Calloway, who accepts a position as a live-in maid for a wealthy couple. When she is forbidden to see her employer's husband, suspicion immediately arises.
Paul Feig is returning to direct the sequel, working again with screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine. Michele Morrone will also reprise his role as Enzo from the original film, further deepening the narrative.
Erin Westerman, president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, expressed excitement about Dunst's casting, highlighting her iconic status and remarkable range. She anticipates an electrifying performance opposite Sweeney.
