Kirby & Pullman Star in New Space Thriller

Kitty Green, acclaimed writer-director of 'The Assistant,' is set to helm 'The Spacesuit,' a new feature film starring Vanessa Kirby and Lewis Pullman. The project is generating significant industry buzz, with HanWay Films initiating international sales at the Cannes Film Festival.

Set against a backdrop of renewed interest in space exploration, 'The Spacesuit' delves into the complexities faced by an astronaut. The narrative focuses on an astronaut, played by Kirby, who must confront an impossible decision following a critical incident with her co-pilot, portrayed by Pullman. This event leaves a significant mark on their mission in the days leading up to lift-off.

The film is described as expanding upon the thematic concerns of Green's previous works, such as power dynamics and gender, but with escalated stakes and a grander scale. Producers James Schamus and Scott Macaulay, who previously collaborated with Green, are involved in the project. Kirby and her sister Juliet Kirby also serve as executive producers.
