Kids Inc. Stars: Then and Now

Decades after "Kids Incorporated" concluded its run, its former cast members have forged successful and varied paths in the entertainment industry. Rahsaan Patterson, who starred from 1984 to 1987, has since released eight studio albums and toured globally, after initially providing background vocals for "Kids Inc." co-star Martika.

Stacy Ann Ferguson, known as Fergie, leveraged her "Kids Incorporated" beginnings into a successful music career. After forming the girl group Wild Orchid with fellow alumna Renee Sandstrom, Fergie achieved worldwide fame with the Black Eyed Peas. She later released two solo albums and ventured into acting and television hosting.

Renee Sandstrom, also known as Renee Sands, was part of Wild Orchid and later focused on voice acting and recording music for Disney projects. Mario Lopez, who was on the show from 1984 to 1986, transitioned from acting to a prominent career in television hosting for "Extra" and "Access Hollywood," while also continuing to act in films and voice animated characters.

Marta Marrero, who performed as Martika, found international music success with her hit song "Toy Soldiers." After a hiatus, she released music with her band Oppera. Jennifer Love Hewitt starred in popular television series like "Party of Five" and "Ghost Whisperer," alongside a film career. Eric Balfour has maintained a steady presence in television, appearing in "24," "Haven," and recent miniseries.

Ryan Lambert, who left acting at age 20 but later returned, is now involved in indie rock bands. Jerry Sharell, an original cast member, works as a publicist and continues to perform music. Kenny Ford Jr., who joined later, is reportedly a musician in Los Angeles.
