Summary
- Spotify hosted its first Artist Party in Sydney for ARIA Week
- The Kid LAROI headlined the event with a surprise appearance by ONEFOUR
- Over 250,000 public votes cast for this year's ARIA Awards, surpassing previous years

On November 17, 2025, Spotify hosted its first-ever Artist Party in Sydney, kicking off ARIA Week ahead of the 2025 ARIA Awards ceremony. The event, held at the Cell Block Theatre in Darlinghurst, brought together a cross-section of nominated artists, emerging acts, and industry figures.
The night's headliner was The Kid LAROI, who delivered a short but impactful set. The performance included a surprise appearance by Western Sydney drill group ONEFOUR, as the two acts joined forces for a rendition of "Distant Strangers." This marked a rare public pairing for the two Australian acts in the lead-up to the ARIA Awards.
The Kid LAROI, who has been home in Australia ahead of his next release cycle, addressed the crowd, noting the significance of performing in Sydney during ARIA Week. "I grew up dreaming about nights like this, so to be back in Sydney, performing this party with Spotify and surrounded by so many Aussie artists I respect, is special," he said.
The event also featured unannounced acoustic performances from several 2025 ARIA nominees, including Sons of the East and Taylor Moss. Young Franco, nominated for Best Solo Artist and the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist award, closed the night with a DJ set.
Notably, this year's ARIA Awards have seen a surge in public participation, with Spotify's in-app voting tool driving over 250,000 votes across the ceremony's open categories. This figure surpasses the combined tallies from the previous two years, indicating elevated visibility for the 2025 broadcast and livestream.
