Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, during a promotional event for Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups in Chennai, made a lighthearted jest about Kiara Advani's past involvement with his film Love Insurance Kompany. He revealed that he had approached Advani with a story idea before her hit film Kabir Singh, which later became Love Insurance Kompany. Shivan humorously suggested Advani was fortunate not to have taken on the role, as the film experienced a disappointing box office performance, reportedly grossing between Rs 58 crore and Rs 66.47 crore worldwide.
