Thompson indicated that Khloe Kardashian played a role in his decision, suggesting she presented him with an "ultimatum" to "get forced into the right decision."

Speaking on Kardashian's podcast, Thompson acknowledged his past "stubbornness" and preference for learning through experience rather than being told. He stated that he would not have any more children unless they were conceived from Kardashian's embryos. While Thompson claimed he "signed off" on the vasectomy, Kardashian revealed she had him save sperm for a "future wife."
