Kesha Lends Powerful Vocals to Diane Warren's Emotional Ballad

Acclaimed songwriter Diane Warren recently tapped pop star Kesha to lend her powerful vocals to "Dear Me," a ballad Warren wrote for her "younger f*cked up self." According to Warren, she chose Kesha not only for her singing abilities, but also because the singer could personally relate to the song's message of healing and vulnerability.

During a recent event, Warren accompanied Kesha on the piano as she performed the emotional track, which is featured in the Realsongs documentary about Warren's life, "Diane Warren: Relentless." Kesha, who has been open about her own public healing journey, recalled "sobbing" when she first heard the song, saying it resonated with the struggles she had been through.

"I relate. Every great song, that's what gets people is you find the vulnerability and the commonality and the humanity and the honesty and the bravery of the artist that is writing it to say the things that they're saying, and they're saying the things that you can't find the right words for," Kesha said. She expressed her deep admiration for Warren, calling it one of the greatest honors of her career to be singing this song for the documentary.
