The Thalir-Varnolsavam arts festival, organized by the Kerala State Council for Child Welfare, commenced on Saturday in the state capital of Thiruvananthapuram. The two-day event is providing a platform of hope, creativity, and joy to children living in government and private children's homes across the district.
The festival, held at the Council Hall in Thycaud and the Government College of Music, features students from lower primary to higher secondary levels. Over 400 children from 20 children's homes, including Sree Chitra Home, Mahila Mandiram, Balika Mandiram, Government Children's Home Poojappura, CMS Kannammoola, Karunyatheeram, and CSI Balika Mandiram Parassala, are taking part in the competitions.
