Keltie Knight, an Emmy Award winner and familiar media personality, has joined the digital styling app Alta as its editor-at-large. Knight is set to significantly influence Alta's brand presence, shaping its editorial voice across all newsletters and social media platforms.
Furthermore, she will be at the helm of Alta's inaugural digital magazine cover, which is slated for release in November. This new publication aims to feature digital avatars of celebrities, accompanied by in-depth interviews and highlighting a unique collaboration between a star and an Alta user on each cover.
Alta functions similarly to a virtual styling assistant, enabling users to digitize their closets and receive personalized outfit recommendations. These suggestions consider the user's existing wardrobe, current weather conditions, and daily calendar events. The app also allows users to virtually try on suggested outfits using their personal Alta Avatar. To date, Alta has facilitated the generation of over 700 million unique outfits.
The company recently announced the successful completion of its Series A funding round, raising $20 million. Alta has previously partnered with notable brands and organizations, including e.l.f. Cosmetics, Gap, Zimmermann, Public School New York, Rent the Runway, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
