Zarian fondly recalled a special moment when he and Clarkson sang a duet, a long-held aspiration of his that finally came to fruition.

Clarkson announced in February 2026 that her Emmy-winning talk show would conclude after its seventh season. She cited her desire to prioritize her children, Rose and Remy, as the primary reason for stepping away from the daily schedule. The decision was not easy, given her gratitude for the cast, crew, and NBC's support over the years. Clarkson's children's father passed away in August 2025.

Zarian detailed the journey of achieving his singing duet with Clarkson, which began as a "gag" and eventually became a reality. He shared that he hired a voice coach and underwent two weeks of intense preparation, noting that the performance, a rendition of "Suddenly Seymour" from Little Shop of Horrors, was the very first time they sang together.
