Summary
- New Heights podcast is eligible for the 2027 Golden Globes Best Podcast award.
- The podcast's eligibility is based on data including audience reach and engagement.
- The Golden Globes Best Podcast category is relatively new, with its first winner this year.
The "New Heights" podcast, hosted by NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce, is now eligible for consideration at the 2027 Golden Globes. This marks a significant milestone as the podcast vies for the award's second Best Podcast honor.
The eligibility is based on comprehensive data from Luminate, an entertainment analytics company. This assessment includes metrics like audience reach, listener engagement, revenue, and chart performance, ensuring a competitive field.
This recognition extends the Kelce brothers' influence beyond their football careers. Jason, a former Philadelphia Eagles center, and Travis, a key player for the Kansas City Chiefs, have successfully built a broad audience.
The inclusion on the eligibility list does not guarantee a nomination; podcasts must submit themselves for consideration. The category itself is nascent, with "Good Hang with Amy Poehler" winning the inaugural award earlier this year.
The second Golden Globes Best Podcast award ceremony is scheduled for January 10, 2027, capping another year of entertainment recognition.
