Keanu Reeves is set to star in an untitled Warner Bros. action movie, directed by Tim Miller. The film, previously known as "Shiver," centers on a smuggler caught in a relentless time loop following a deadly double-cross in the Caribbean Sea. Reeves will portray the protagonist navigating treacherous waters filled with hostile mercenaries and dangerous sharks.
Callie Cooke has been cast as the female lead, a scientist, in the high-octane feature. Joining them are Nicholas Duvernay, Steven Waddington, Abraham Popoola, Bobby Holland Hanton, and Anastasia Safonov, filling roles from shipmates to mercenaries. The production commenced this week, with filming taking place in the Dominican Republic utilizing massive water tanks.
Ian Shorr penned the script, drawing comparisons to the time-loop sci-fi "Edge of Tomorrow" and the shark survival thriller "The Shallows." The movie is scheduled for release on August 13, 2027, and will also film sequences in the U.K. Matthew Vaughn is among the producers.
