- Artisan used Green's 'This is fine' meme art without permission.
- Ads were removed following the quick settlement agreement.

KC Green, the creator of the popular "This is fine" meme, has reached a swift settlement with the startup Artisan. The conflict emerged when Artisan utilized a modified version of Green's artwork in advertisements for its AI assistant, Ava. The ads depicted Green's iconic dog surrounded by flames, with the text altered to read "My pipeline is on fire" to promote AI-driven sales representatives.
Green publicly expressed his dismay, calling the art "stolen like AI steals" and encouraging people to deface the advertisements. He also voiced frustration about potentially engaging with the court system instead of focusing on his comic work. Artisan stated they respected Green's work.
Following these developments, Artisan and Green came to an agreement. As part of the settlement, Artisan has removed the infringing advertisements from New York and San Francisco. Green, in turn, has taken down his initial public statement regarding the dispute.
