Oakland-based songwriter and field recordist Kathryn Mohr is releasing her second full-length album, titled 'Carve,' on April 17. The album's lead single, "Property," is now available.
Mohr described "Property" as stemming from "dream images and visions" and an "underground man made waterway" she discovered. This new LP serves as the follow-up to her 2025 debut, 'Waiting Room.'
Written over a five-year period, the 12 tracks on 'Carve' were recorded in the Mojave Desert. The album, mixed by Richard Chowenhill, explores the concept of memory existing outside the body within landscapes and locations.
