Summary

- Show features Joel Dommett and Jon Richardson in team captain roles.
- TLC is expanding its comedy slate with this new format.
A new comedy panel show based on the popular card game Top Trumps is set to launch early next year on TLC. Comedian Katherine Ryan has been confirmed as the host for the tentatively titled "Top Trumps: The Comedy Pack." The show will see team captains Joel Dommett and Jon Richardson leading their respective teams through card face-offs, studio challenges, and bluffing games.
This new format is a significant addition to TLC's growing comedy schedule. The channel, which is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery U.K. & Ireland, has been actively investing in comedy programming since its relaunch earlier this year. Other recent comedy successes for TLC include "Unacceptable," hosted by Ed Gamble, which has already been renewed for a second season.
Alongside the "Top Trumps" series, TLC is also extending its commitment to "Mock the Week," ordering three additional seasons. The revived panel show, hosted by Dara Ó Briain, is now slated to run until 2027. This strategic investment in comedy underscores TLC's ambition to become a prominent destination for humorous content in the U.K.
