In a recent interview, actress Katherine LaNasa shared a surprising detail about her early career: she had never seen the iconic sitcom Seinfeld nor the popular drama Melrose Place when she filmed her guest role in a memorable season 6 Seinfeld episode. Titled 'The Beard,' the episode featured LaNasa as a NYPD sergeant who administered a lie detector test to Jerry Seinfeld.
LaNasa, who was a single mother at the time and focused on raising her young son, explained her lack of TV viewing. She noted that her then-husband, Dennis Hopper, and she did not watch Melrose Place. Despite this unfamiliarity, she found the Seinfeld set to be a magical place filled with incredibly talented actors like Jason Alexander, whose improvisational skills she recalled vividly.
Interestingly, LaNasa is now married to Grant Show, one of the stars of Melrose Place. The couple wed in 2012 and later welcomed a daughter. LaNasa has since had a successful television career, appearing in shows like ER and Grey's Anatomy, and recently won an Emmy for her role in The Pitt.
