Kate McKinnon Joins 'Percy Jackson' as Goddess Aphrodite

In a major casting announcement, beloved actress Kate McKinnon has joined the cast of the Disney+ series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" for its upcoming third season. McKinnon will take on the recurring role of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty.

According to the official character description, Aphrodite "can alter her appearance depending on the beholder" and "must be sure that Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) respects the power and importance of love before she agrees to offer aid on his quest." McKinnon is widely recognized for her acclaimed work on "Saturday Night Live," where she served as a cast member from 2012 to 2022, earning 10 Emmy nominations and winning twice.
