Kate Beckinsale has removed all posts from her Instagram account after receiving negative remarks about her weight. The actress posted cryptic messages on her stories, including 'congratulations you won I give up' and 'bye,' before disabling comments on a subsequent post. This social media activity follows weeks after Beckinsale shared a deeply personal message about navigating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Earlier this month, Beckinsale opened up about her experiences with PTSD, describing it as a condition that affects those who have witnessed or endured terrifying events. She highlighted how individuals with PTSD often become adept at masking their struggles, receiving little 'grace' despite their daily battles. Beckinsale explained that nightmares plague their sleep, and everyday triggers can transport them to a place akin to 'hell.'

Beckinsale advocated for greater empathy, stating that since PTSD is an 'invisible' illness, people should be 'kinder and gentler' to one another. She emphasized the difficulty of understanding another person's burdens without experiencing them firsthand. The actress's candidness about PTSD comes after a profoundly difficult year, having lost her mother, Judy Loe, in July 2025 and her stepfather, Roy Battersby, in January 2026. The negative comments regarding her appearance added further distress during this period of mourning.
