Bride Designs Own Gown Inspired by Ballet & Oceans

Country singer Kassi Ashton exchanged vows with longtime love Travis Myatt in a unique ceremony held on April 19 in Key West, Florida. The couple chose the iconic Ernest Hemingway Home for their intimate celebration, attended by 45 guests. Their shared vision was a relaxed yet aesthetically rich experience, centered around their love story and the place they first met.

Ashton, 31, showcased her creativity by designing and personally sewing her two-part wedding gown. Her inspiration stemmed from antique ballet and theater costumes, alongside oceanic fantasy themes and deconstructed runway styles. Myatt, 36, complemented her by wearing a loose, ivory suit. A particularly moving element of the ceremony involved guests passing the custom-designed wedding rings, sharing blessings and well wishes.

The wedding festivities embraced an 'old world' theme with a moody palette and organic textures. Guests enjoyed family-style dining featuring Caribbean mahi mahi and chimichurri steak, followed by a selection of desserts from Moondog Cafe & Bakery. The celebration concluded with an after-party at Bobby's Monkey Bar and a subsequent brunch, marking the beginning of the couple's married life.
