Suriya expressed his optimism about a second installment, stating he is also eagerly awaiting its production. He recalled his immediate commitment to the project, trusting director RJ Balaji's vision and signing the film in less than an hour. The magnitude of the film's success exceeded even the production team's loftiest expectations.

Director RJ Balaji had previously elaborated on his strategic release planning, intentionally opting for a May release over earlier windows like January and February. He believed this timing would avoid conflicts with exam season and political discussions surrounding elections, ensuring optimal audience attention.
