This initiative aims to provide visitors with an distinctive coastal experience on horseback, drawing inspiration from successful equestrian tourism destinations globally. The academy offers three distinct packages catering to various interests.
The beach riding package allows participants to explore the scenic Sasihithlu or Idya coastlines, featuring guided rides, shoreline trails, and opportunities for sunrise or sunset excursions. For those seeking a deeper connection with the region, the countryside safari winds through local landscapes, including coconut groves and mangroves. This package also offers insights into traditional life with a visit to a fisherman's house and demonstrations of local crafts and industries.
A heritage horse safari is also available, combining horseback riding with explorations of historic temples and basadis, offering a glimpse into the area's rich history. While beach rides are approximately one hour, other safaris can extend up to 90 minutes. The academy emphasizes accessibility, requiring no prior horse-riding experience and providing comprehensive basic training and safety guidance. Currently, the academy operates with 20 horses and is exploring collaborations with water sports providers to create integrated tourist experiences, aiming to establish horse safaris as a signature attraction for Mangaluru's coast.
