Priyanka Chopra recently shed light on the surprising origins of her famous nickname, 'Piggy Chops.' During a promotional event for her upcoming action drama, The Bluff, Chopra shared that the nickname stemmed from her eating habits. Her co-star, Karl Urban, reacted with amused disbelief, calling the moniker 'outrageous.'
The nickname was originally coined by Abhishek Bachchan on the set of the 2005 film Bluffmaster! Bachchan playfully blended Chopra's surname with a reference to her enjoyment of food. While 'Piggy Chops' became a media staple, Chopra has since admitted that the novelty wore off, and she became weary of the label.
The film The Bluff, directed by Frank E. Flowers and starring Ismael Cruz Cordova, Safia Oakley-Green, and Temuera Morrison, is scheduled for release on Prime Video on February 25, 2026.
