A wedding dress worn by Inverness-born actress Karen Gillan in the popular BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who is now available for purchase at an auction.
Ms Gillan, who portrayed Amy Pond, wore the strapless white bridal gown in the 2010 episode titled 'The Big Bang' during her character's wedding to Rory Williams. The dress is a size 10 Ben de Lisi creation.
The auction, hosted by Propstore, features memorabilia spanning 20 years of Doctor Who. It concludes on Thursday, with 20 percent of the hammer proceeds going to BBC Children In Need.
Gillan, now 38, left Doctor Who in 2013 to pursue a successful Hollywood career, starring in major films. She recently had her own real-life wedding in 2026.
Previously, Gillan highlighted financial obstacles hindering aspiring actors and has since supported a scholarship for performing arts students in her hometown.
