Kanye Apologizes for 2025 Antisemitic Rant

Kanye West, also known as Ye, has published a 750-word advertisement in The Wall Street Journal to apologize for antisemitic remarks made in 2025. The statement, titled 'To Those I've Hurt,' directly addresses the Jewish and Black communities. Ye described his actions as stemming from a "four-month-long manic episode of psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behavior that destroyed my life."

During this period, Ye engaged in highly controversial actions, including displaying swastikas and posting antisemitic messages on X/Twitter. He acknowledged his deep regret and mortification over these actions, stating, "I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people." He also extended apologies to the Black community, recognizing its foundational importance to his identity.

Ye further explained that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2023, after a car accident in 2002. He claimed to have lived in denial, which worsened his condition and led to his detachment from reality. As his mental health improves through medication, therapy, and a healthier lifestyle, Ye is focusing on creating positive art and seeks to earn forgiveness, not sympathy.
