Summary
- Trade experts predicted Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1 to open at Rs. 12-14 crores, failing to break Chhaava's record
- Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari expected to open at Rs. 7-8 crores
- Exhibitor Vishek Chauhan says Kantara team missed a "golden opportunity" to make it an "event film" for North India

As the nation gears up for the release of two highly anticipated films, Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1 and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, trade experts have predicted their opening-day figures, and the results are not as impressive as expected.
According to the predictions, Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1 is set to open at around Rs. 12-14 crores, a significant jump from the first part's opening, but still not enough to break the record set by Chhaava, which had a first-day collection of Rs. 33.10 crores. Vishek Chauhan, the owner of Roopbani Cinema in Purnia, Bihar, believes the Kantara team has "missed a golden opportunity" to make the film an "event film" for the North Indian audience.
As for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, the experts expect it to open at Rs. 7-8 crores, which Chauhan considers a "great" opening for the film. However, he hopes that both films will have double-digit openings, as the high ticket prices could potentially dent their prospects.
Trade veteran Taran Adarsh agrees that Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1 is unlikely to surpass Chhaava's record, stating that a "miraculous jump" in current bookings would be required for it to happen. He explains that the film's earlier part was released in a small way and gained popularity through word of mouth, but now it faces high expectations.
As the nation eagerly awaits the release of these two films, the industry is closely monitoring the initial reactions and the impact of the three-week open window between Dussehra and Diwali. If the films receive positive word of mouth, they could have a dream run, but if the reports are unfavorable, they may struggle from the very first day.
